Second round of legislative elections in Mali

After the first round in November, Mali will hold the second round of parliamentary elections on December 15.
At the moment, women represent 10.20% of the the National Assembly, with 15 women MPs out of a total of 147 members.

The National Centre for Documentation and Information on Women and Children (CNDIFE)'s "Statistical Bulletin of 2009" found that out of 147 deputies, the National Assembly has only 15 women MPs. Of the 703 mayors, the country has only 8 women mayors. On 10,774 municipal councilors, only 927 are women. They are 6 women of 75 national consultants. Of the 14 councilors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mali (CCIM) there are only 2 women councilors. For 32 advisors APCAM, there are only 3 women. And of the 30 councilors of the Consular Chamber of Trade, there are only 3 women.
